Match Rules

1. All anglers wishing to enter the senior carp cup series must be available for the whole series. Any angler failing to turn up without contacting the match secretary 24 hours in advance will be eliminated from the series.

2. The entrance fee for the senior carp cup is £45.00 to be submitted at the end of the qualifier, if you qualify.

3.Intermediate can fish the senior match, Christmas match and Roy Herbert.

4. Juniors can fish the Junior matches only. The Junior match is now a 2-match series the Juniors/senior match will stay the same.

5. All anglers must hold a full Society membership including a night permit with the exception of Juniors for the Junior match and Junior senior match.

6. Any angler who does not present at the published draw time will be deemed to have failed to turn up unless the match secretary has been contacted before the draw took place. In this case a swim can bedrawn on his/her behalf.

7. Anglers entering any competition will not be permitted to fish the night prior to the match.

8. Pegs for swims will be nominated on the day by the match secretary.

9. Anglers are not permitted to be more than three swims away from their rods at any time

10. Parents/guardians. If junior is asleep during the night the parent/guardian may land the fish for them. 1st time only wait will count

10a. Junior must be awake before the rod can be recast.

10b. Juniors must cast, Parent/guardians may help! Parent/Guardian may cast if Junior has a medical condition, but Junior must be present/awake.If the Junior refuses to get up a second time, parent/guardian must land the fish, but it will not count. This rule applies to junior matches and Junior Senior matches.

11. All fish must be weighed by the nominated scales person only and witnessed by another angler. Carp must be kept in landing net until scales person is ready.

12. All carp will count except for Crucian carp. (FOUL HOOKED CARP DO NOT COUNT)

13. All carp must be dealt with before recasting. No leaving line in water.

14. Only 1kg of ground bait can be used during any match with the following exclusions maggot, caster. Hemp or trout pellets and Boilies.

15. Guildford Angling Society rules as published in the rule book must be observed at all times. Any angler found to be breaking any of the above Match Rules or the rules of the Society during a match will be Disqualified from the match and the series.

16. Any dispute, complaint or other issue not covered by these rules shall be decided upon at the time by the Match Secretary and four other anglers not involved.
